The gift that keeps on giving!

I love giving meaningful, from the heart, gifts.

So this year, as a token of appreciation, for all the wonderful Nurses and Continuing Care Assistants that work we me, I've made each of them a package of four post-it note cards.

Each 3x3 card has 10 post-it notes inside. The purpose is for the "giver" to write a little note of thanks or encouragement and the "receiver" peels off the post-it note, saves it, and then passes the note card onto another unsuspected person with a new message.

I used Altenew stamps and distress ink for stamping. I love using my Misti Tool for these wonderful layering stamps!

I will be giving out a total of 30 packages of four (so 120 cards). If we were able to use all these cards for how they are intended, together we could send out 1200 messages of encouragement to people we appreciate!! Imagine the power of  positive energy this would create in a workplace <3

Let me know your thoughts of gifts like this!

Altered gift, Christmas 2016

Anyone who follows my posts know I'm a fan of yard sales and the cool things you can do with just a
 " little" find.

The inspiration were a set of candle sticks...gold in color.

From there I kindly asked my husband to make 2 5x7 frames. The back was painted with chalkboard paint and the frames were painted with Wild honey distress paint. After that I added red inka gold, painted the candle sticks black and sanded them down to let the gold shine thrugh and attached these funky metal star door knobs I had for a long time!

Viola....whatcha think???

Stack of note cards II

Follow-up to last post! Another stack of cards as a gift this Christmas.

This time I used a layering lotus stamp from stampin up.
