Hello Beautiful

This layout features the paper line from Simple Stories called "Hello Beautiful" and I felt it match our beautiful daughter very well with the colour pallet of soft pinks, greys, mint green and gold accents.

Lots of sewing with gold thread, fussy cutting around the flowers and popping them up, added some feathers for that romantic feel.

Products used:

Simple Stories paper line, Hello Beautiful; Bo Bunny Double Dot Vintage card stock, Shadow; Magenta doily stencil and paste; Spell Binder Feather die; Nuvo drops, Coral Galypso and Spring Green.

Winter Wonderland

Last year my Bestie and I decided if we couldn't go somewhere warm, we would adventure closer to home and embrace winter.

We both really hate winter but we went with a positive attitude and not really knowing anything but our timeline to go and be back and a destination in mind, we took off and had one of the best times ever!

Our destination was old Quebec City.

This is us on our last day actually, visiting the  Aquarium du Quesbec

Paper Line: Winter Wonderland - Simple Stories
Card Stock: BoBunny Double Dot- Ocean dot; Kraft
Other elements: Vellum for snowflakes; Button from stash; Sewing,
Dies used: Snowflake dies; edge dies
Inks: Broken China; Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold

Random extra photo's

Here are some of the other photo's taken from that day. I made a pocket on the back of the page to store the extra photo's in case I want to scrap more of them later. If not they will be together. This is a technique I started to do when I have many photo's but don't want to scrap all of them. I'll show what I mean in another post.

Chasing Dreams Take 2

My last post was featuring Maggie Homes paper and embellishments and this post is the same with a twist!

Cards don't need to be complicated to be really sweet. What about using left over embellishments to be the focus of your card designs?

Check them out.

Card one

Front panel was cut out from the tags and panel sheet in the kit as well I used a word phrase sticker, a chipboard heart and a puffy pink bow.

The inside of card 1 features a piece of left over pattern paper, cream card stock which was framed by more of those word phrase stickers and a gold chipboard bow.

Can never forget the back of the card :) which has been decorated with a chipboard xoxo

Card two

Front panel features left over pattern paper (two layers), a sticker with a saying I adore "Have courage and be kind" and then a little heart

Inside panel decked out with pieces of left over pattern paper and a sticker

On the back, this cute chipboard sticker

Card Three (and my fav!)

This front panel is all stickers layered on top of each other plus some gold hearts.

Inside is a piece of pink card stock, a piece of pattern paper and a tag cut from the tags sheet

The back is this beautiful butterfly

Card Four

Front panel is two layers of pattern paper, chipboard suitcase and word phrase stickers with a flat "adventure" sticker

Inside panel was the rest of the word phrase stickers and this sweet chipboard frame, bird and heart,

The back of this one came out too blurry to post but it too was decorated with stickers.

Difficult to see but these cards have a lot of dimension and design.

Always think outside of the box when creating
