Gelli Plate Printing Vicki Boutin Style

Who doesn't LOVE mix media?!?!?

The thing with mix media is you can't have an agenda, a plan an end point. You have to just let go and see what you come up with.

A few weekends ago I pulled out the gelli plate and Vicki Boutin paints, this is what I got in the end.

I starred at these prints for a few days and when I "seen" what I imagined I created a few very unique cards.

This one is made from all Vicki Products, the gelli print with her paints, butterfly stencil and ephemera

This one is with Vicki's ephemera, Thanks Die from Honey B, An older border die and some gold metallic paper to show case the gold on the Vicki pieces and to finish it off a few gems from Pretty Pink Posh

All Vicki products except the Happy Birthday Stamp and the gems

Oh this blue gelli print background screamed ocean! Stamps and Dies from My Favorite Things, Colored with Tombo Markers, Several dies used for the background and waves. Everything is popped up for ++dimension. The extra fish placed inside the card

The last by not final project with these prints

This one is the most interesting! When I looked at the print I seen the face....All I did was trace it and used some shading...see below, do you see it?? Cut circles out, added some stamping (all with Vicki's products) and added the title from Vicki's ephemera.

I have one print left and the large 12x12 page which was my "pick up" paper to clean my plate. This will be used for a lay-out :)

Hope you enjoy creating as much as I

The Perky Owl

The best part about weekends away without an agenda is finding the little treasures you would otherwise miss. The Perky Owl was just that...a very unique coffee house  in a little coastal town of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

This paper line from Echo Park, called Coffee was absolutely perfect for this trip. Not only it speak to coffee but also how special Coffee and Friends blend so well together!

Christa, my most favorite coffee loving friend, this page is dedicated to you on your birthday and cheers to many more adventures together, <3

Other products and techniques: Sewing, Carta Bella Background stamp called Designer Diamond; EK Success Boarder Punch; Amy Tangerine and Dear Lizzy stamps; Archival Ink called Sienna

Love Me Coffee

Over the years I've grown the addiction to coffee. Never forget that first cup of Tim's, small triple triple!! Had to do that to choke it down. Now, I use creamed honey to sweeten gently and a splash of half & half. No longer "choken" it down but rather savoring the multitudes of flavors.

Looks like my daughter shares my love and appreciation for the caffeinated beverage!
